Prior to SBG, I founded Lyric Financial, pioneering music royalty financing with innovative structures and technology.  Prior to Lyric, I began my career as an artist manager, then A&R director for CBS records (now Sony), then independent record producer.  My 20+ years in the music industry have afforded me the blessing of working with range of innovative artists from the country punk of Jason & the Scorchers to the impeccable Herbie Hancock to distinctive cruck of the early Memphis rap scene. After my music career, I returned to school to earn a finance degree at the University of Memphis where I discovered a new passion in designing financial solutions for the global music community.

As a successful technology entrepreneur, I enjoy mentoring  startups in the music space to help promote a healthy ecosystem of ideas and talent. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from UCLA. Prior to OpenPlay I was CTO of Concord Music Group.
